"Would you like the know the simple ways of losing weight and toning up"All fitness training plans or programs whether they're in the gym or designed for the home will work off the 5 components of physical fitness. It depends greatly on the area you want to work, which of the main components of physical fitness your program will be based around. Just so you know I’m a qualified fitness and
exercise instructor. I will explain the 5 components of physical fitness and put them into context for a fitness training program.
The first is Cardio-Respiratory Endurance. This for me is one of the main components of physical fitness as simply put, this is your heart and lungs. Cardio-Respiratory Endurance can be defined as your ability to perform strenuous tasks using large muscle groups over a period of time. In other words power walking, jogging, running, push bike etc. To get maximum benefit the time should be over 20 minutes. This works for every one as you work within ranges of your maximum heart rate. Next is Body Composition. When looking at the 5 components of physical fitness
this component gets taken out of context, especially when talking about
dieting. This can be defined as the amount of fat in the body relative
to the fat free mass. In other words everything other than fat (muscle,
water and bone) compared to the amount of fat. Flexibility as one of the 5 components of physical fitnessWhen we look at flexibility as one of the main
components of physical fitness we are looking to increase the range of
motion. Flexibility can be defined as the functional capacity of the
joints to move through a full range of movement. Muscular StrengthIf muscular strength is used as one of the main components of physical fitness you are usually looking to build larger muscles. This can be defined as a maximal one time effort (force) that can be exerted against a resistance. Think of weight lifting. Muscular EnduranceThe last of the 5 components of physical fitness is muscular endurance. This can be defined as the ability of the muscles to apply a sub-maximal effort (force) repeatedly for a certain period of time. Think of lifting light weights repeatedly or sit ups. While each of the 5 components of physical fitness has a purpose, for my clients that want to lose weight and tone up whether male or female, I usually build the program around Cardio-Respiratory Endurance, Body Composition and Muscular Endurance.
